It breaks all of our hearts, but the Met Gala has been postponed. The annual ball where celebrities from all over come to fundraise for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s costume institute in New York City. Usually, there is a theme to every gala, and the most extravagant and controversial outfits of the year usually appear at this event. After two staff members at the museum tested positive for COVID-19, the Met announced they would be closed until April 4th. But, after further restrictions and guidelines for social gatherings released by the CDC, the Met announced they would be cancelling all of their programs and events until May 15th, which includes the gala. The gala this year was set to celebrate the Met’s 150th anniversary, featuring many exclusive fashion items. Cross your fingers! If life returns to normal before the fall, we may have a chance to see Hollywood’s finest gather on fashion’s most exclusive night soon!
