MLB Season Preview

MLB hopes to start their season soon, with commissioner Rob Manfred saying he absolutely believes baseball will be played this season. As of now, we don’t know when baseball will start, however the league is exploring some options, such as having all teams play games at one stadium (proposed to be Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ) without fans. Many outlets are projecting the New York Yankees to win the American League this season. The Yankees, led by their newly signed ace Gerrit Cole, are looking to take the AL by storm this season and surpass the Houston Astros, who’s recent World Series wins have been called into question over cheating allegations. In the AL, the Yankees are projected to win the AL East, while the Minnesota Twins are projected to win the AL Central, and the Houston Astros are projected to win the AL West. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the consensus favorites in the NL. Led by star slugger Cody Bellinger, recently-traded Mookie Betts, and ace Walker Bueller, the Dodgers are looking to return to the World Series and get over the hurdle to win the Series. For divisions in the NL, many project that Atlanta Braves will win the NL East, the St. Louis Cardinals will win the NL Central, and the Dodgers will win the NL west.
