Disney launched its new streaming service, Disney Plus, on November 12th, with 500 movies and 7,500 T.V shows, and it hit the ground sprinting. Besides some initial hiccups on the first day, as the company struggled to keep up with the influx of users, Disney Plus is now running smoothly and amassing more subscribers every day.
Since launching, Disney has added multiple features including the option to “Resume” or “Restart”, and recently, to “Continue Watching”. As the service is still young, you can expect that new shows, movies, and features will be added soon. Disney Plus already has introduced new shows including the very popular “The Mandalorian” (and baby Yoda memes),
For fans of Marvel, Pixar, Disney, and even National Geographic (which is owned by Disney), the service easily beats Netflix, which has struggled to keep its Disney titles. Currently, Disney Plus starts at $6.99 a month, in contrast to Netflix which starts at $9. Disney Plus also offers a bundle with ESPN and Hulu for $12.99 a month. This bundle does not offer a 7-day free trial as Disney Plus and Netflix do.
From reviving the ancients to keeping eager fans waiting for exciting new movies like Mulan, you can bet that Disney Plus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
