NFL November Recap

Through 11 weeks in the NFL season, no undefeated teams remain. Week nine kicked off featuring one of those teams, the San Francisco 49ers playing their division rivals, the Arizona Cardinals. The entire country would get to see the San Francisco 49ers on national television for the first time, and they did not disappoint. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had the best game of his career in a 28-25 victory over the Cardinals. In his second start of the season, Matt Moore of the Kansas City Chiefs led his team to victory over the Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings. The game featured a 91-yard run by Chiefs Running back Damien Williams. After giving up a first-round pick for Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ gamble paid off with Fitzpatrick’s 96-yard pick-six that sealed their win over the Colts. The Green Bay Packers’ four-game win streak came to an end at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers, who were able to stymie the potent Packer offense. In the most significant game of the week, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the once-undefeated New England Patriots 37-20 in a game that featured the two best teams in the AFC. Week 10 of the NFL presented a very intriguing slate of games. The week kicked off in Oakland, with a thriller between the red hot Los Angeles Chargers and Oakland Raiders. Jon Gruden and the Raiders squeaked out a 26-24 victory. In Nashville, the Tennessee Titans shocked Kansas City Chiefs as the Titans were able to block the potential game-tying field goal. Perhaps the upset of the week took place in New Orleans. The one win Atlanta Falcons completely dominated the game against the Saints as they won 26-9. Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson continued his MVP run with a highlight-reel run in a 49-13 win over the winless Cincinnati Bengals. In typical Lambeau Field Fashion, the snow fell as the Packers beat the Carolina Panthers. Green Bay stopped Carolina a single yard short of the goal-line to win 24-16, giving Green Bay a one-game lead in the NFC North going into their bye week.
