You’ll learn how you can continue building on your journalism skills and experiences as you enter college. Get tips for how to find valuable internships and get involved in your school’s newspaper.
Featuring guest speakers Negassi Tesfamichael (a journalist with lots of college internship experience), Sammy Gibbons (editor-in-chief at The Daily Cardinal) and Samantha Nesovanovic (managing editor at The Daily Cardinal).
High School Journalism
We’ll finish the conference by discussing the importance of journalism at the high school level and what we can do to improve our school newspapers.
Got questions? We’ve got answers…
A speaker panel will round out the conference by allowing attendees to ask any remaining questions they have of our guest speakers. Come prepared with what you want to know (we will also have some time for you to talk in groups and come up with questions!).
There is such thing as a free lunch…
Chick-fil-A will be catering our lunch, and there will be vegetarian options available! Please let us know ASAP about your food preferences and requirements by filling out the RSVP form.
