As winter comes to Wisconsin, so does Memorial Theater Company’s annual musical. This year, MTC is excited to announce the musical, Curtains, a story that follows a Boston theater company’s attempt to improve their failed production of “Robin Hood” after their miserable leading lady Jessica, played by talented senior Chloe Baumbach, dies. But wait, she was murdered! Now, everyone involved in the show is a suspect to detective Frank Cioffi , brought to life by senior Malcolm Buisch. During his investigation, he falls in love with both their production of  “Robin Hood,” and with actress Niki Harris, which is sophomore Leah Metzger’s first leading role with MTC.

Curtains will be led by our new drama director who put on a successful fall play at Memorial, Katrina Brunner and our music director, Jamie Pitt. As rehearsals are beginning for the cast of Curtains, you still have an opportunity to help out! The technical director for MTC will be organizing crew dates for students to come in and work on set construction, and put together sound and light equipment for the show. Other tasks include painting, costumes and makeup. To find more information, come to Theater 300 Tuesdays right after school! Show dates are February 2, 3, 9, & 10. Don’t miss out!
