With many extraordinary plays like The Foreigner, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Fuddy Meers, Nightwatch, and Rumors, Mr. Hardin has had a long, busy and successful run as director of JMM theater. While the 2017 Spring play, The Nerd, will be his last show, he could not end on a better note.
The Nerd, a comedy about a guy, his girlfriend, his friend, a grouchy neighbor, and of course, a nerd, will be full of JMM theater veterans, such as Julia Siegal, Aris Awes, and Emma Sorenson. The directing group is a dream team. Composed of experienced seniors, Lea Hulsey will be serving as student director, Nate Kiehn will be serving as stage manager, and Greta Larget will be serving as production manager. These three students working together guarantees that the The Nerd will run smoothly.
The Nerd has been done twice before at JMM, the most recent being in 2010. The production featured 2016 JMM graduate Sam Cibula playing the role of the 8 year old neighbor.Shows will be May 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th and 20th at 7:30PM. Tickets will be sold for $5 at lunch and at the door and all seating is first come first serve. Don’t miss out!
