Do you enjoy volunteering in the community?
Do you have fun spending time with children?
Do you like helping out with your friends?
Do you dislike flurries of questions directed at you from a newspaper article?
If you answered yes to all the above, keep reading! On Thursday, May 1, 2014, JMM students of all ages and grades will take part in SPIRIT Day, an annual day of community service and volunteering. SPIRIT day, which stands for Service Projects Inspiring Responsibility In Teens, will take Memorial students to local elementary and middle schools to encourage and conduct service projects. As an exciting all-day event, SPIRIT Day is great way to amass service hours while also having fun volunteering with friends!
If you are interested in participating in SPIRIT Day, please pick up a permission slip from your neighborhood office and have it completed and returned by Thursday, April 10th. Spartan Youth Service gladly welcomes all, and we hope to see you volunteering on May 1st at SPIRIT Day!
